If we packed it and we handled the move, we’ll guide you through the Lucky Mule Care Coverage claim process. If you packed it yourself, we’ll still handle boxes carefully, but we can’t verify what’s inside.
You can mark certain closets or drawers “Do Not Pack,” and we’ll skip them. We also recommend you personally handle cash, jewelry, firearms, and irreplaceable documents.
Yes, that’s usually the best plan. We often pack one day, then load and move the next so you’re not overwhelmed and we can work methodically.
Someone needs to be available to answer questions and approve decisions, but you don’t have to hover over the crew. Most people work from home, run errands, or pack personal items while we handle the rest.
Every box we pack gets a room label and a quick note about contents (e.g., “Kitchen – Glasses & Mugs”). That way you’re not opening random boxes trying to find coffee mugs on day one.
Yes. We’re happy to move a mix of your own boxes and ours. We just ask that your boxes are taped shut, not overloaded, and clearly labeled so stacking is safe in the truck.
Yes, you can book a move without using our professional packing service. At Lucky Mule Moving, you have the flexibility to book moving only, packing only, or both moving and packing services. Many customers choose our packing service for specific items, such as kitchenware, fragile belongings, or items for closets, while packing other items themselves. You are free to decide how much or how little packing assistance you want.
Packing is billed hourly per packer, plus materials (boxes, paper, tape, specialty cartons). Before you commit, we give you a ballpark range for hours and materials based on your room count and how much needs to be packed.
We can leave extra boxes, tape, and paper at our material rates so you can finish non‑fragile packing on your own schedule.
We can step in and finish where you left off. Just leave those items out on a table or counter and we’ll re‑wrap anything that needs better protection.
