We keep local moving pricing simple. You pay an hourly labor rate based on crew size, plus a one-time Travel Fee.
Hourly labor:
- $149/hr for 2 movers + Truck & Gas
($50/hr for each additional mover) (See FAQ)
Travel Fee:
- Calculated automatically from your addresses using time and distance (based on the nearest Lucky Mule location). (See FAQ)
We’ll confirm the details in your 1-Hour Quick Estimate so there are no surprises on moving day.
Because we hold your date, crew, and truck, deposits are non‑refundable. We understand that things come up, though. With 24 hours’ notice, we’re glad to offer a one‑time courtesy reschedule when availability allows.
Fill out our online form, and we’ll follow up fast—often within 1 hour (Mon-Fri (9 AM–5 PM))—to confirm your personal estimate and schedule your service. Once you sign the agreement and pay the $200 deposit, your date is locked in.
These don’t add “fees,” but they can add time. We ask about access up front so your estimate is realistic. Common time-drivers include:
- Multiple flights of stairs or slow elevators
- 100+ ft long carries
- Parking far from the entrance
- Very heavy or oversized items
We use our own Lucky Mule trucks and crews—no brokers, no subcontractors, and no random day labor.
We give you a {acf:lm_local_arrival_window_hours:option}-hour arrival window (like 8-10am or 1-3pm). You’ll get a confirmation text the day before and another when we’re 20-30 minutes out. If we’re more than 30 minutes past your window, we text/call immediately with a new ETA. We don’t leave you hanging wondering where we are.
Swing sets and small trampolines yes (disassembled). Hot tubs, large playsets, or pools need special equipment—we’ll be upfront if we can’t handle it safely.
Most 3-beds need 3 movers + truck (6-8 hours). 2-bed houses/apartments usually 2 movers (4-6 hours). We recommend based on your inventory and access.
Full furniture pads + stretch wrap for protection. Sofas, mattresses, tables all get padded first, then wrapped. No “just shrink wrap” that scratches surfaces underneath.
We quote extra time upfront for stairs. Our guys take multiple trips and use proper lifting—no rushing that causes damage. Walk-throughs help us plan stair moves accurately.
