Appliance Disconnect / Reconnect Policy

For safety and liability reasons, Lucky Mule Moving follows a limited appliance policy. We’re movers — not plumbers or electricians — and we want to avoid preventable leaks, gas risks, and connection damage.

Appliance Disconnect & Reconnect Policy (Read Before Move Day) ✅

We can help with a few basic connections—but anything involving water lines, gas, or hard-plumbed installs needs a waiver or a licensed pro.

Before move day, use this quick checklist so there are no surprises:

  • We can help (by request + waiver): washer water hoses, dryer vent hose, electric dryer plug-in/out (same outlet only)
  • We do not do: gas appliances, refrigerator water/ice lines, dishwashers, cord/outlet changes, valve/fitting repairs, or any plumbing/electrical work
  • Best practice: schedule a licensed plumber/electrician/gas tech for anything beyond basic hoses/vent

Important: connection-related issues (leaks, valves, fittings, wall/utility hookups) are not covered under Lucky Mule Care Coverage

What we can help with (by request)

  • Washer water hoses (disconnect/reconnect)
  • Dryer vent hose (disconnect/reconnect)
  • Electric dryer unplug/plug into the same outlet (no cord changes)

A signed Appliance & Utility Liability Waiver is required if you want our crew to handle any of the above.

What we do not do

  • Any gas appliances (gas dryers, gas ranges, gas lines)
  • Refrigerator water/ice maker lines
  • Dishwashers
  • Any plumbing/electrical work (valves, fittings, supply/drain lines, outlet changes, cord conversions, vent modifications)

Why we use a waiver

Water and vent connections can fail due to age, wear, corrosion, or improper installation. If you request our crew to disconnect/reconnect washer hoses or dryer vents, you’ll be asked to sign a waiver confirming you understand the risks and that these connection-related issues are not covered under Lucky Mule Care Coverage.

Best practice

For gas appliances, dishwashers, or refrigerator water lines, we recommend using a licensed plumber/electrician/gas technician.
